Rear-end Collision Avoids Trial, Settles for Maximum $20,000.00

Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C. was recently contacted by a 34-year-old male injured in a rear-end collision on Kimball Street near the corner of Addison Street in Chicago, Illinois. Our client was rear-ended at a high rate of speed while stopped and sitting in his parked car. Our client transported himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital where he was treated and released for low back pain and recommended to follow up for additional medical treatment with his primary care physician. The defendant driver lied to his insurance company and reported our client was not in his vehicle at the time of the rear-end collision.

The insurance company denied our client’s claim against the defendant driver refusing to pay the thousands of dollars in medical bills and lost wages accumulating as a result of the car accident. Our client was treated by his primary care physician and given an MRI then recommended for additional treatment with a Neurosurgeon because of the seriousness of the injuries as a result of the rear-end collision. The Neurosurgeon recommended our client as a candidate for back surgery and attorney Jared Staver prepared to file suit against the defendant driver’s insurance company for failure to pay the policy claim to our client. Our Chicago law attorneys discovered two witnesses present at the scene of the accident verifying our client was physically in the car during the rear-end collision. Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C. successfully negotiated on behalf of our client for the settlement of the full insurance policy claim at $20,000.00.
