$1,457,000Woman Injured in T-Bone Accident
A 52-year-old woman and her pregnant 29-year-old daughter were on their way to a hospital for an ultrasound appointment. While on their way, a 19-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign and t-boned their car.
The 52-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to the emergency room with severe neck pain. She was ultimately diagnosed with significant herniations at C5-C6 and C6-C7, and a rotator cuff tear in her right shoulder. She underwent surgery for her neck, specifically a C5-C7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. For her shoulder, she received numerous injections to help alleviate the pain. When that failed to provide relief, she had surgery to repair the rotator cuff tear.
She incurred approximately $490,000 in medical bills and approximately $51,000 in lost income. Her case settled for $1,457,000.
