We are happy to announce and share some additional information about the first annual Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C. accident scholarship recipient. Each day we speak with people who have been hurt due to someone else’s negligence, and many times their injuries impact their lives forever. We believe that a car accident or other type of incident should never prevent someone from achieving their educational and career goals.
Our recipient, Tiffane King, is a student at University of California, Irvine School of Law. Tiffane’s situation and accomplishments deeply touched us. Hurt in an accident that left her with serious injuries, she hopes to dedicate her future law career to safeguarding the rights of people who have been hurt in personal injury, particularly the disabled. Not only is she a dedicated student, Tiffane also mentors disabled persons who attend specialized personal therapy programs to help people restore physical function and maximize their recovery. Many of the people she mentors have been told they will never walk again or never regain their mobility. Tiffane’s own experiences with having been injured helps her to coach others in fighting for their lives instead of merely existing. She hopes to demonstrate to them how to achieve great things when the odds are against them.
Tiffane has also assisted in founding Pretty F.A.C.E., an organization that provides wigs to cancer patients and burn victims. She has been instrumental as an administration outreach liaison for the University of California, Irving School of Law’s Black Law Student Alliance (BLSA), where she has also helped to cultivate relationships between the BLSA, the community, and the University.
We are thrilled to award this inaugural scholarship to a deserving student. “Words cannot express my gratitude. I have been desperately searching for a way to pay for tuition this semester. Your scholarship is much needed and will directly help pay my school fees,” she told us. We know that injured-related expenses can add up over the years and arise unexpectedly, so the opportunity to lessen the financial burden of education means a great deal to us.
