On December 9th, 2014, a 26th-year old woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was going through the intersection of Martin Luther King St. and 90th Street in Chicago, Illinois when another vehicle ran a stop sign, causing the driver not-at-fault to strike that car. That driver presented herself to the University of Chicago hospital the day of the accident, but followed up with her primary care physician after that who recommended that she undergo a few additional studies and physical therapy. Her case settled for $19,000.
